Terms of service
The service
Revela is a behavioural suitability platform provided by Old Shoreham Behavioural Technologies (OSBT) to regulated financial firms under a licence agreement. These terms describe the platform generally; the licence agreement signed with each firm governs where the two differ.
What Revela is, and is not
Revela measures revealed risk disposition and reconciles it with the objective facts a firm records about its client. Its output is evidence for a suitability decision. It is not financial advice, and it does not replace the adviser’s professional judgement or the firm’s regulatory responsibility for the advice it gives. Advisers can override engine figures, and every override is recorded on the audit trail.
Accounts and acceptable use
Adviser and operator accounts are personal and must not be shared. Assessment links are single-use and personal to the client they are issued for; forwarding a link to anyone else invalidates the evidence it produces. Attempting to probe, reverse-engineer or extract the scoring engine, or to access another firm’s data, is prohibited.
Records and data
Assessment inputs, engine outputs and adviser overrides are retained as sealed records for the licensing firm. On termination, a firm can export its records; handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Availability and liability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it, and scheduled maintenance may interrupt service. To the extent permitted by law, OSBT’s liability is limited as set out in the firm’s licence agreement, and OSBT is not liable for advice decisions made by a firm using the platform’s output.
